This Luxury Volvo Sedan Combines Performance and Luxury

If you’re looking for a luxury sedan experience, but want a thrilling amount of power to go along with it, consider the Volvo S60. This sedan combines traditional Volvo cues such as luxury interior materials and excellent build quality with a trio of exciting and powerful engines to create a driving experience like no other for Santa Monica drivers. Culver City Volvo is thrilled about the new Volvo S60 lineup and we’re here to help you learn more of what they have to offer.

The 2019 S60 comes with three excellent engines, each with their own specific characteristics. The T5 is a 250-horsepower four-cylinder unit that utilizes a turbocharger to boost torque and fuel efficiency. As a result, this engine achieves up to 36 miles per gallon on the highway and a combined figure of 28 miles per gallon.

The T6 engine utilizes the T5 as a base, and adds a supercharger to add 66 horsepower for a total of 316. This does dent fuel economy slightly, bringing the combined figure down to 25 miles per gallon, but the additional power and torque are more than worth it if you’re looking for excitement when you put your foot down.

Borrowing from supercar and racecar technology is the T8, which adds an 87-horsepower electric motor to the T6 engine for a staggering 400 horsepower and over 60 miles per gallon combined.

The S60 isn’t all brawn; the interior brings a lot to the table for Venice Beach drivers as well. Digital driver displays, Apple CarPlay, premium sound options, and available built-in navigation give the S60 a futuristic feel, while touches such as heated leather seats, wood inlays, and the standard power moonroof give drivers the luxurious feel they’ve grown to expect from Volvo.
